The countdown is over! Tomorrow marks the official opening of the spectacular expansion of The Cut & Craft Leeds, and we’re incredibly proud to have played our part in delivering this landmark hospitality fit-out project.
Over the past few weeks we’ve shared behind-the-scenes updates as our joinery team manufactured and installed the bespoke fixed seating throughout the new extension. Now, with the venue preparing to welcome its first guests, we’re excited to reveal more about this impressive transformation.
Located within the iconic former Collinson’s Café in Leeds’ historic Victoria Quarter, The Cut & Craft Leeds has undergone a £1.2 million expansion, creating a flagship hospitality destination that blends heritage architecture with contemporary luxury. The project has transformed the neighbouring former Paul Smith store into an elegant cocktail bar and lounge, luxurious private dining rooms, an extended kitchen, offices and training facilities, while carefully celebrating the building’s rich history.
As a leading commercial seating manufacturer, PGI Contracts was appointed to manufacture and install the bespoke fixed seating throughout the new areas. Every seating installation was built to complement the venue’s premium interior design while delivering the durability, comfort and quality required for a busy hospitality environment.
From elegant circular banquettes to bespoke upholstered fixed seating, our experienced team worked alongside the wider project team to help create inviting spaces where guests can relax, dine and celebrate. Projects like this demonstrate how carefully crafted restaurant seating can enhance both the customer experience and the overall interior design.
One of the most striking features of the extension is its tribute to Wallace Hartley, the talented musician who performed at Collinson’s Café before becoming the bandleader aboard the RMS Titanic. The new dedicated live music stage celebrates this fascinating piece of Leeds’ history while creating an exciting destination for weekly entertainment.
The result is a stunning hospitality venue that nearly doubles the size of The Cut & Craft Leeds, creating an exceptional destination for dining, drinks and private events.
