Malmaison, Aberdeen

This extensive transformation saw all 79 guest rooms and public areas transformed to reflect Malmaison’s bold and daring design language, blended with Aberdeen-inspired cultural influences. In a striking departure from traditional tartan, the interiors now feature a flood of velvet, vibrant colour palettes, and bespoke artwork – including creative tributes to Aberdeen-born singer-songwriter Annie Lennox. 

We were appointed to produce the huge, statement headboards, upholstered in luxurious velvets, which now serve as bold centrepieces in each room.  

This project marks a bold evolution of the brand’s identity while celebrating the cultural richness of Aberdeen. We’re delighted to have contributed to bringing a new level of luxury, comfort, and character to one of the city’s most distinctive hotels.
