Completed Projects
November 2024 saw Newcastle’s iconic Quayside welcome DOOD, a bold new restaurant concept that celebrates the rich culinary traditions of the Persian and Levantine regions. We are proud to have been part of the transformation of DOOD, collaborating with award-winning London designers Run For The Hills.
DOOD is housed in a Grade II listed building once central to Newcastle’s maritime industry. The vision for DOOD’s interior was to transport guests to a luxurious yet evocative world inspired by the nomadic heritage of the Silk Road.
Our role was to create seating that reflects the restaurant’s design of ancient influence with contemporary touches, where guests can gather to enjoy shared feasting.
Reflecting the Spirit of the Silk Road
Every detail in DOOD’s seating was chosen to enhance the ambiance. The textiles and patterns we incorporated draw inspiration from the vibrant cultures of Persia and the Levant, evoking the opulence and allure of this historic trade route.
The seating was designed to accommodate both intimate gatherings and large feasts, embodying the communal spirit of the Silk Road.
DOOD is more than just a restaurant—it’s a place where history, culture, and cuisine converge. As the seating contractor, we are proud to have contributed to creating a space where guests can savour the flavours of Persia and the Levant while surrounded by the beauty of a thoughtfully designed interior.
The new addition to the city’s dining scene is out to make a name for itself and already seems ahead of the game, having managed to attract some famous faces to a preview evening.
