We are looking to recruit trainee Upholsterers to join our Hazel Grove team. As a Trainee Upholsterer you will work as part of a team to learn all aspects of the role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience and a willingness to learn. Some experience is an advantage but not necessary, as training is provided. The candidate will learn all aspects of creating quality furniture, including the use of compressed air equipment, hand & power tools. You will learn to prepare frames for upholstery, adding foams & fibres, shown tension & straining materials to position them and pattern matching fabrics. Demonstrating a range of traditional methods, trimmings & finishes, including piping, decorative studs, buttons & facings, creating different types of pleats including scroll arm, envelope & puckering. Working as part of a team on piece work, working independently using your own initiative.
