The New Forest Hotel, Ashurst

Set within the heart of the New Forest National Park, this vibrant pub combines classic charm with a playful contemporary edge. The design introduces a quirky modern twist on the traditional pub interior, pairing bold patterns with a strong, confident colour palette. Whimsical artwork, striking lighting and flexible layouts come together to create an inviting space, complete with comfortable seating designed for guests to relax and enjoy great food in an eye-catching setting. 

One venue. Three upholstery solutions – each designed with purpose. 

Deep buttoned backs
Deep-pulled upholstery creating depth, tension and long-term shape retention. Fully dressed upholstery with deep pulls and fixed buttons to lock the fabric into the foam, maintaining shape and preventing slippage over time. 

Fluted backs
Vertical channels with evenly distributed padding, giving definition while controlling wear across high-contact areas. 

Plain cushion backs
Loose-look appearance with fixed construction for clean lines and easy maintenance. 

Materials & Finishes 

Sunbury’s Bella Riot – a richly coloured, super-tactile velvet with an exceptionally soft pile. Contemporary, sleek and minimalist, making it a go-to choice for modern interiors. 

Linwood’s Omega IV velvet – beautifully soft yet highly durable, finished with an eco-friendly, non-fluoro stain-resistant treatment to guard against everyday spills. 

ILP’s Laguna Leather – a naturally aged pull-up leather that develops character over time. 

Kirkby’s Ice 2 Balsam – delivering the luxurious look of cotton velvet with a subtle, lustrous finish. 

All fixed seating was manufactured on site-specific frames and upholstered to perform in demanding, high-use hospitality environments.
