We were proud to contribute to this sensitive and stylish update, delivering bespoke fixed seating and upholstered headboards that honour the building’s rich legacy while bringing in refined modern comfort. 

Elegant Interiors with Heritage at Heart 

The refurbishment included the careful redesign of all 16 bedrooms and the installation of custom bench seating throughout the pub and dining areas. Our work features fluted back and roll-top bench seating and fixed button-back booths. Upholstered in sumptuous velvets from Linwood, premium Crest leathers, and iconic botanical prints from Morris & Co. 

These luxurious materials were chosen for their ability to reflect the inn’s timeless charm and countryside elegance. The soft textures and hand-drawn floral patterns breathe new life into the space, evoking a fresh Spring atmosphere while remaining true to the inn’s heritage. 

Blending Modern Functionality with Historic Integrity 

One of the project’s key challenges was to integrate modern conveniences without compromising the historical fabric of the building. For example, discreet electrical sockets were seamlessly incorporated into the headboards, ensuring guests can enjoy modern comforts while preserving the aesthetic and structural integrity of the 500-year-old walls. 

This project stands as a testament to how thoughtful design and craftsmanship can breathe new life into treasured historic spaces.
